Embodied Yoga
Embodied Yoga
Embodied yoga is a holistic and intuitive approach to movement that honours the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Rather than focusing solely on physical postures, this practice invites you to slow down and develop a deeper awareness of your inner experience, including bodily sensations, breath, and emotional responses.
Through guided embodied movement, sessions incorporate elements of somatic practice, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and visualisation. This integrated approach supports nervous system regulation, encourages self-awareness, and creates space for you to reconnect with your body’s natural intelligence and rhythm.
Embodied yoga recognises that the body holds wisdom, memory, and lived experience. Practising in this way can support the release of physical tension and stored emotional stress, while fostering a deeper sense of presence, balance, and connection to yourself and your environment. The focus is not on achieving perfect shapes, but on cultivating curiosity, awareness, and a compassionate relationship with your body.
Monthly Embodied Workshops
In addition to regular sessions, I offer immersive embodied workshops on the first Saturday of every month at Amathyst Cave, Southbourne. These workshops provide an extended space to explore movement, connection, and self-discovery in a supportive and nurturing environment.
